The Sinclair Room 

This newly remodeled space is now a second dining room and features flooring recovered from Fort Monroe and the 1906 stage boards from the Elk’s Hall relocated from the 2nd floor. Our room is fully handicapped accessible, and leads to the Dining Room and Bar beyond.


Room available for rent for private parties and events for 20-32 people. Read below for the basics and call 757-357-7100 and ask for Pam, General Manager.

Our second dining room can be rented for private parties of 20 people or more. Our room can accommodate up to 34 people and is available for events from 4pm – 8pm Sunday through Thursday evenings. 

Requirements for renting out second dining room for a private event:

  1.  20 people or more must be in attendance for your event. If less than 20 people show up, your event may not be private.

  2.  $150.00 deposit by credit card to guarantee date. A credit card will only be charged in the event of no show or failure to cancel in appropriate time. Deposit must be made within seven calendar days of booking to guarantee date. Deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made no later than 2 weeks prior to the date of your event.  The room will be held for 30 minutes only.  If your party is a no show, the room will be forfeited and your card will be charged.

  3. Minimum order of $750.00 worth of food and drinks, not including tax, service fee, or any other fees. If minimum order is not met, there will be a room charge fee for the difference to meet the minimum of $750.00.   Deposit will be applied to total bill, and balance of bill is due at the completion of the event. Please arrange to pay balance via cash or credit card, NO PERSONAL CHECKS.


All food and beverage served will be subject to 12.25% tax and an 18% service fee.

We do not allow outside caterers to provide food or beverage with the exception of cakes for special events. However, if you require staff to cut your cake, there will be a cake-cutting fee of $15.00.

Bringing in any outside alcoholic beverages is not permitted and is in violation of Virginia ABC regulations. Attendees are subject to age/ID verification if alcoholic beverages are served.

*Our second dining room space is also our only step-free handicap entrance for the building. Therefore tables can not be moved to middle of room, so that, in the event that a customer of the restaurant needs to access this entrance they may do so during your function.*

All functions,programs,presentations,or performances taking place in our second dining room are subject to the approval of the management of Wharf Hill Brewing Company.
